Your services page is where dream clients decide if you’re the one to help them level up their brand. It’s not just another page—it’s your virtual handshake, your first impression, and your chance to scream, “Yes! I’m the designer you’ve been looking for.”
But here’s the truth: most beginner designers either underplay it, overcomplicate it, or make it look like a glorified resume. If you want clients to actually hit that inquiry button, your page has to do more than exist. It has to convert.
Thankfully, I’ve got a blueprint for you. And if you want to skip the guesswork, my Wix Website Templates for designers are pre-loaded with all the strategy we’re about to cover. Fully customizable and beginner-friendly.
Ready to make your services page irresistible? Let’s go.
1. Clear and Concise Messaging
No one’s reading your life story on their lunch break. Be clear, be concise, and break down what you offer and who you serve in simple, scannable language.
Example:
Who you serve: “I design minimalist, strategic websites for female entrepreneurs ready to scale.”
What you offer: “Custom brand and website design packages tailored to your business goals.”
Clarity builds trust, and trust builds conversions. If messaging feels tricky, my course Magnetic Messaging makes figuring out your unique voice and audience straightforward and simple.
2. Strong, Benefit-Driven Headlines
Think of headlines like neon signs on your page—they guide your reader and keep them hooked.
Top tip:
Start with a bold statement at the top, e.g., “Ready to Transform Your Brand with Strategic, Stunning Design?”
Use subheadings to guide readers through each section:
“Why My Design Packages Are Perfect for You”
“How We’ll Work Together to Elevate Your Brand”
Strong headlines paired with clear messaging instantly make your page more engaging.
3. Highlight Your Unique Selling Proposition (USP)
Why should someone hire you instead of the designer they found on Instagram five minutes ago? Your USP is your secret sauce—it’s what makes you different.
Example:“I design websites that don’t just look beautiful, they convert clicks into clients. My strategic approach helps female entrepreneurs attract high-paying clients and grow their business.”
Not sure how to define your USP? My Magnetic Messaging course breaks it down step by step so you can confidently tell your audience why you’re the obvious choice.
4. Use Visuals to Show, Not Just Tell
We’re visual creatures—your services page needs to look as good as it reads. Include:
Portfolio previews: Show off your best projects to make clients say “I want that!”. For tips on creating a portfolio that wows, check out my blog post Creating An Online Portfolio That Will Wow Potential Clients.
Process graphics: Break down your design process visually so clients understand how you work.
High-quality images: Don’t settle for blurry stock photos—grab free, professional options from my guide The Best Free Stock Photography Websites.
Videos: A quick intro video can help clients connect with you instantly and feel confident about hiring.
Visuals aren’t just decoration—they’re a strategic way to communicate your style, your process, and your credibility without saying a word.

5. Social Proof = Instant Credibility
Nothing screams “hire me” like happy clients raving about you. Include:
Testimonials with specific results: “My new website helped me book three new clients in the first week!”
Screenshots of emails or DMs praising your work.
If you want to make collecting testimonials effortless, check out my HoneyBook Testimonial Questionnaire Template. It’s designed to get strategic feedback every time.
6. Clear Calls-to-Action (CTA)
Your services page should guide clients to take action, not just admire your work. Examples:
“Let’s Create Something Beautiful—Book Your Free Consultation Today!”
“Ready to Elevate Your Brand? Get Started Here.”
Place CTAs throughout the page, not just at the bottom. People love clear directions.
7. Easy Navigation
A gorgeous page won’t convert if clients can’t find what they need. Keep it simple:
Clean layout, no clutter.
Clickable links and buttons for each service.
Sticky navigation so clients can jump to any section.
Navigation isn’t flashy, but it’s a huge part of client confidence. If it’s easy to explore, they’ll stick around longer.
8. Mobile-First Design
Over half of web traffic comes from phones. Your services page must shine on mobile:
Text readable without zooming.
Buttons big enough to tap.
Images and videos resize beautifully.
(My Wix templates are already optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile, so you can focus on design instead of troubleshooting responsiveness.)
