How To Easily Add Custom Fonts to Your Wix Website Template

Are you finding that Wix's built-in font styles aren't quite what you're looking for and you wish you could upload your own?

Well I have good news, my friend -- you can!

Today I am going to be sharing with you how to upload your custom fonts to the Wix editor, so let's get started!

In the example below, I have a Wix website that I'm working on and I want to upload a custom font to make it look really cool and give it more of the style that I'm looking for.

Where to get custom fonts

One of the websites that I use to get my fonts from is dafont.com. It's important to note that if you are using it for commercial purposes, you want to make sure you are allowed to use the font that you've chosen.

Many of the fonts on this website are free for personal use only. If you need a font that you can use for items you sell and will make money off of, make sure to select 100% free from the "more options" filter when searching.

Installing fonts to your computer

Once you've chosen the font you want to download, you'll need to install it into your computer.

To do this, you'll simply need to click the "Download" button to the right of the Dafont webpage, and then click the "Install" button in your computer window that pops up after your download is complete.

Once you have that installed, you are going to go to your computer's Control Panel and go to your Fonts Folder.

Locate the font that you just installed, and either copy and paste or drag it to your Desktop Folder in another window.

Adding your fonts to wix

After you've pasted the font into your Desktop Folder, you are going to go back to the Wix editor and highlight some of the text so that it opens your font options.

Instead of picking a font from the default font list, you're going to go down and click the blue link that says "Upload Fonts".

Next, you will click on the orange button to upload your chosen font.

Locate your desktop folder and select the font that you just installed. It may take a couple minutes to upload depending on how fast or slow your computer is.

After your font is finished uploading, you can now see your new font in the Wix font list, yay!
